The FINSYNC Impact Center

Overview

Agente Imóvel is a Real Estate Tech Product offering services for buyers to explore properties, calculate their mortgage costs, search property values and find mortgages. I took on and led this project with Propodo (An Israeli Real Estate Tech Company) after they acquired Agente Imóvel in Brazil in 2024. This site was originally in Portuguese but has been translated to English for presentational purposes.

Challenge

Agente Imóvel wanted to come up with a system for Brokers to be able to refer their clients to mortgage opportunities and receive commissions from the lenders. The challenges they had were to adapt their website to feature this new product as well as create a portal where brokers could go that could help them track their success and incentivize them to drive more traffic to Agente Imóvel's network of mortgage providers.

The Approach (Key Business Goals)

-To adapt their site to feature the new service provided
-Create a a portal specifically for agents to track referral progress and income generation
-To display the brands playful, colorful, fun image and excite agents and users to engage
-To maintain a design system that reflects branding and ensures consistency / speed to implementation

Simplifying the Experience

I spoke to stakeholders to understand what were the needs that were most important to brokers. This helped me understand which data points to emphasize most and we were able to scale down the number of requested fields on the dashboard from 11 to 5 (below). In addition, noticing there was a lot of data being collected in the client referral form, I set up for the brokers to be able to simply share a link so that clients could fill it out for themselves.

After gathering requirements and understanding the vision of stakeholders I presented the team with multiple design concepts.


Getting Outside the Box

Along with fulfilling these initial designs I offered up some sketches of something different and beyond the scope. In this offering, I introduced a separate landing page exclusively for brokers emphasizing the new feature (the home page is for for both buyers and brokers) to increase conversion and adoption. This was something we ran with after working on some prototypes together and it gave the organization a more targeted means to support the new feature.




Results

We shipped and iterated after 2 rounds of prototypes.  This has generated a new revenue stream for the company and gave brokers agency over the banking side of their business and allowed them to generate a new stream of income and track it with ease. The results are still incoming but as of now the company has already driven more profit than their cost of implementation / add budget to support the new feature.
